MY MOOD TRACKING SYSTEM
This is the mood tracker I designed and use to track my bipolar cycle, I have split my mood analysis down to 3 flashpoints in the day (as I am a rapid cycler), with one commentary field for late evening. Late evening tends to be my flare up time and shows my true mindset.
Trust me this is not as scary as it looks, the key is as follows:-
- Yellow bars – hours sleep for the night previous to date
- Red line – morning feeling
- Blue line – afternoon feeling
- Green line – evening feeling
The system scores up and down feeling, 0 = normal feeling. -1 to -5 measures low mood, 1 to 5 measures high mood.

If you want to use this excel sheet, please Click here to download it. All graphs are auto-plotted from an input sheet, that could not be any easier.
The download currently covers December > February and I will upload it in three monthly chunks. I have left the first day of each month populated to show you the graph in action, over type this with your own data. Also remember to save each time you input fresh data, this will update the chart automatically.
If there are any questions, please feel free to ask.

I would love to see what the excel sheet for one of these looks like! It looks like you’ve put a ton of time and effort into this, and into your whole site for that matter – it’s very nice.
If you could so kindly as to send me a copy of your Excel file for the above April moods chart, I would greatly appreciate it. I work with bipolar patients and this resource could be helpful for them. Thank you.
Hi,
I would greatly appreciate to have a copy of your excell file. I intend to translate it to portuguese and use it for myself. Congrats for this resource can help many bipolar people like me that lack the ability to create such a tool!
Thank’s a lot!
Regards,
Daniel.
have u heard of a site called moodtracker? its a place where u can chart your mood, even journal about specifics of moods t/o the day, triggers or whatever. Its cool cuz you keep track, and then you can print off your charts and bring it to the doc to show. There’s even an option for allowing your doc to access your charts online.
Just another option … love your website.
Thank you for the spreadsheet. The graph part is really cool.
